Web Browsers: For various reasons this site is best run using Microsoft's Internet Explorer, 4.0 or higher. This is not to say that it will not work with Netscape's Navigator, but that certain features may not be quite as effective. Most notably, Internet Explorer can redraw images without refreshing the entire image - for instance, if two 3D images are available, both seen from the same angle, but one significantly different from the other, Internet Explorer allows you to jump from one to the other (after both have been loaded) and see exactly what is different between the shots. In Navigator, this image swaping is complicated by a slight redraw making the transition harder to follow.
Movies: For all online movies we use Apple's Quicktime 3.0 movie software. The compression made available in Quicktime 3.0 allows for the highest level of quality in the shortest period of time; an extraordinary accomplishment made possible when we save the movie to the Internet (the catch is that it takes a computer roughly ten times as long to save the movie file when it's first created - not bad for an average of ten times the compression with no significant loss of quality). Quicktime 3.0 is available for free from Apple at http://www.apple.com/quicktime.
Flash: To view your house plans, you must have the Flash plug-in installed on your computer. If you're looking at your house plans, and want to magnify them, hold down the Alt key on a PC, or the Option key on a Mac, and then click and hold on your house plans. A list of options will pop-up. Select "Magnify". To then move the floor plans around, hold down the space bar while click and drag on the floor plans.
